LG has significantly expanded its Gaming Portal on webOS Smart TVs, bringing thousands of cloud-based games, popular titles like Just Dance Now, and even voice-controlled gaming — all without the need for a console.

What’s New in LG’s Gaming Portal

LG Smart TV users can now access over 4,000 cloud-streamed games along with 600+ casual titles directly from the Gaming Portal. The games run via cloud services, meaning players don’t need dedicated hardware — just an internet connection and an LG webOS TV.

Popular Games Now Available

Some of the notable additions include:

  • Just Dance Now by Ubisoft — playable directly on LG TVs using smartphones as controllers

  • Asphalt Legends Unite — a free-to-play arcade racing game available with ads

  • My Little Puppy — an adventure title streamed through cloud gaming platforms like Blacknut

These games are available on LG Smart TVs running webOS 22 or later, with support expanding to more regions.

Voice-Controlled Gaming Comes to TVs

LG has partnered with Volley, a voice-AI gaming company, to introduce hands-free voice games such as trivia and music quizzes. Players can control these games using voice commands through LG’s smart TV interface.

Smartphones as Game Controllers

LG also offers the LG Mobile Gamepad Wi-Fi app on Android and iOS, allowing smartphones to function as game controllers. This removes the need for traditional controllers for many supported games.

No Console Required

All these games are playable directly on LG Smart TVs using the TV remote, voice controls, or a mobile phone — no PlayStation, Xbox, or PC required.

Innovation Through webOS Gaming Ecosystem

LG continues to expand its gaming ecosystem through developer programs and hackathons, encouraging innovation on the webOS platform. While LG regularly showcases creative indie and experimental games through these initiatives, availability may vary by region and service.

Why This Matters?

With cloud gaming, voice-controlled play, and mobile controller support, LG is positioning its Smart TVs as all-in-one gaming hubs, making gaming more accessible to casual and family audiences.
