This year, there's something extra special. Apple is adding a new category for 50 Distinguished Winners. These winners will be recognized for their outstanding projects. So, not only can you win, but you can win big!
There are a total of 350 winners this year. Among them, 50 will be the Distinguished Winners, the cream of the crop. These top students will get to visit Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, and meet other smart students and the Apple team. Plus, all winners, whether distinguished or not, get a free one-year membership in the Apple Developer program. That's pretty awesome!
Starting in February 2024, you'll have three weeks to submit your projects to Apple. They'll check your project's technical skills, how creative your ideas are, and the explanations you provide for your project. You can sign up on the Apple Developer website when it's time.
To be part of the Swift Student Challenge, you need to be at least 13 years old if you're in the United States. If you're in another country, you need to be old enough according to your local rules. You should also be registered as an Apple Developer with Apple or be in the Apple Developer Program.
The Swift Student Challenge is a chance for students who love coding. You could win an award or a WWDC Scholarship, and you can try up to four times.
