Apple App Store Award Winners: Celebrating the Best Apps and Games of 2023

Apple recently revealed the champions of the 2023 App Store Awards, recognizing 14 outstanding apps and games. These winning creations, handpicked by Apple's Editorial team, were chosen for their exceptional innovation, user-friendly experiences, and cool designs from a group of nearly 40 finalists.
The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, praised the developers, saying, "It's awesome to see how developers continue to create amazing apps and games that change how we see the world. This year's winners show how developers can bring their awesome ideas to life, making apps and games that are super smart, super cool, and super fun!"
The winners cover a wide range of cool stuff you can do on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. For example, there's AllTrails, an app that's all about outdoor adventures and finding cool trails to explore. Then there's Prêt-à-Makeup, an iPad app that lets you experiment with makeup in a super fun and inclusive way. Photomator's another cool one that makes editing photos way easier with fancy machine learning tricks. And MUBI? It's all about showing indie films in a super cool way!
When it comes to games, Honkai: Star Rail is a game that takes you on a crazy adventure on your iPhone, Lost in Play is an iPad game that lets you use your imagination for an amazing adventure, Lies of P brings you into a fantasy world on your Mac, and Hello Kitty Island Adventure in Apple Arcade is all about making friends in a super cute world.

- iPhone App of the Year: AllTrails, from AllTrails, Inc.
- iPad App of the Year: Prêt-à-Makeup, from Prêt-à-Template.
- Mac App of the Year: Photomator, from UAB Pixelmator Team.
- Apple TV App of the Year: MUBI, from MUBI, Inc.
- Apple Watch App of the Year: SmartGym, from Mateus Abras.
Top Games:
- iPhone Game of the Year: Honkai: Star Rail, from COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD.
- iPad Game of the Year: Lost in Play, from Snapbreak Games.
- Mac Game of the Year: Lies of P, from NEOWIZ.
- Apple Arcade Game of the Year: Hello Kitty Island Adventure, from Sunblink.
Aside from these winners, there were five special apps and games that are making a big positive change. They include Pok Pok, which is all about making a cool space for kids to play, Proloquo, an app that helps people communicate better, Too Good to Go, an app that fights food waste, Unpacking, a puzzle game about change, and Finding Hannah, a game that tells a cool story about healing and finding yourself.
